Life!!

I'm feeling kinda low today Image  I just got back from a funeral. My good friend, Harrington age 38 yrs died on the 15th August.  He had battled with liver cancer.  He left behind his Wife and a 11yr old son.   The funeral service had a real good turnout of about 150 people and the service was so lovely.   He was such a loved man by all.  He always had a smile on his face and would be there for anyone who had a need, whether it was finacial or emotional or physical.  He was a friend to all.  Harrington had such a strong faith in God.  You only had to be around him 2mins and if you were feeling down you would be sure to be uplifted.   His smile was contagious,  you could not be around him and not smile Image    He had a HUGE heart for people so much that he would do anything, and I mean ANYTHING for anybody.  Even when he was near to the end and was in pain he would go out of his way to encourage someone, help someone.  I will miss him so, so much as I know alot of other people will too.  The one memory of him that will alwayz stay with me was his smile!  The room would light up when he walked into it.  Anyone in the same room as him would be drawn to him.

Although my heart is grieving I know he is in a much better place, where he is not suffering.  He is with the Lord.  And one day I will see him again.  When questions creep into my mind of...'Why?'  I can only remember what the Bible says:

Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3, Verses 1-8

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."

 This scripture helped me when my little brother died in 95' from a hole in his heart, aged 18mnths old.  I came to the realization that we are all going to die one day, no one can stop that.  Just some people's time is up earlier than others.   Even today I still mourn over my little brother as it hurts.  I don't think the pain will ever go away but I know it does get easier.  And I have every faith I will be sure to see him again one day along with all the other loved ones I have lost.

So even through this sadness I am in right now I will be happy and rejoice knowing that Harrington and William and other loved ones are not dead, they are alive and well in Heaven and I will see them again one day.

Fantastic Day!!!

Hey all!!

What a wonderful day I woke upto.  We have blue skys, maybe a few rain clouds and we have sun!!! Yay!! It's not to warm out but the air is so fresh.  I even hear the birds singing he he.  Most of the time we have dark clouds and rain!  I'm so thankful to God that He has given me a glorious day to wake upto

I wanted to share with you an answer to prayer in my life.  Myself and Colin (my hubby)  have been praying together about various things, but the one thing we have been asking God for was to use us.  No matter what it was He wants us to do, we are willing to step out in Faith and do it.  We also asked for strength and guidance to help us through the times where we think we can't go on.  For help pushing forward towards our goal in our walk with God.

On Sunday afternoon, after the Church service, the Pastor and his wife took myself and Colin into their office as they wanted to have a chat with us.  They explained that the Church is growing now.  They are looking to have 12 people stand beside them and help with the running and leading of the Church.  They would like myself and Colin to be a part of it.  It would mean us being very commited for whenever they needed us.  They eventually want to see me Worship Leading.  I sing in the worship team now but I have never lead Worship.  I know God wants to use my voice as I had 6 words from God last year alone that He is going to use my voice around the world and people would come to know Him through my songs and testimony.  I thank God for giving me this opportunity, this is just the start of what He wants to do with my talent.

The Pastor and his wife are going to be giving us various roles to do in the Church.  We are going to be taking Leaderhip courses and various other courses, which I'm not aware of right now as we haven't discussed it further.  They want to get all 12 people together and then discuss what their vision is goin to be.

I just thank God that He has answered our prayers.  I know it's not goin to be easy but I know with God we can do it.  I'm so excited, and it shows how amazing God is.  As most of you know last year was the worst year of my entire life!  But God never gave up on me and this just proves He hasn't forgotten about me.  God has told me 6x last year that He is still going to use my voice to win lost souls for Him, and whatever Word comes out of His mouth WILL come to pass.

It touched me also to see God answer my daughter's prayers.  Jessica is now 4 yrs old and Sophie is 2 yrs old.  I pray with them every night before they go to sleep.  Jessica has started to say her own prayers in her own kinda way.  It so sweet to listen lol

She told me she has been having bad dreams and she doesn't like them.  So I told her if she prays to Jesus and tells Him that she is getting bad dreams He will stop her from having them.  So Jessica started her prayer, which went like this.......'Dear Lord Jesus,  I don't like having bad dreams, there not very nice.....please could you take them away as I don't want anymore.  Thankyou Jesus, amen,'

The next morning at breakfast, Jessica turned to me and said, 'Mummy, I never had any bad dreams last night!'  She was so happy.  I told her that Jesus had answered her prayers because He loves her.  She said, 'I like Jesus, He's my friend'  My heart melted when I heard that.  And I thank God that He has touched my daughter's life.  She is starting to understand a little more of who Jesus is.

Tonight I have Worship Practice and Colin has Youth group.

Our Church had just recently set up a web site.  Feel free to go take a look at it.  We also take Prayer requests online.  It is open to anyone, even if you are way over the other side of the world! he he....We have prayer groups twice a week.  We pray for every request that's on there.  So feel free to pop your prayer request in there if you have a need.

Much luv to you all!

                                     "PATRON SAINT OF LOVERS"

The story of Valentine's Day begins in the third century with a Christian
named Valentinus,and an emperor named Claudius the Cruel.

Claudius had ordered all Romans to worship 12 gods,and being a
Christian was a crime punishable by death.

Valentinus was dedicated to Christ,and the threat of death did not scare him. He was arrested and imprisoned for his faith.

The jailer asked Valentinus if he would teach his daughter, Julia,
who had been blind since birth.

Valentinus agreed and described to her the beauty of God's creation.
He also taught her how to pray.

Julia believed and ask God to heal her blindness.
As Valentinus and Julia prayed, a bright light shone into the jail and Julia, was heald!

On the eve of his death, Valentinus wrote a last note to Julia,
telling her to always stay close to God.

He signed it "From Your Valentine."
This daughter of a prison official and her whole family were converted to Christianity.

St. Valentine also cared deeply for the young,according to tradition.
He taught lovers to read and write letters to one another.
Presented flowers to newlyweds and helped married couples in difficulties.

Valentinus was killed on February 14, 270 A.D.
That date eventually became know as Valentine's  Day.

One on which messages of affection and love are exchanged around the world

Sorry I haven't been online in over a week.  I've had the flu along with my family   But we're on our way to recovery! Yay! lol
I haven't much to post about as all I have done is lay in bed all week lol

I'm goin to be cooking a special dinner for Colin, my hubbie tonight.  He bought me a lovely bunch of flowers.  It was so sweet.  I love flowers so much!  Then on Friday night our Church is putting on a Valentine's dinner, candlelit.  I can't wait! We went last year and it was just amazing.

I wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Luv you all!

As most of you know last Year 2005 was a terrible Year for me.  But now I can finally say that I can look back over that time and see that I have stepped out of that storm and I am now in a new season!   I am so excited and I feel so alive.  I lost all that, as I had started to give up in the situation I was in, rather than turn to God for help.

                                      cutecolorsdoll3a.gif

Let me share with you something that encouraged me.

Many times in life when we hit a difficult situation we just give up.  We start to feel sorry for ourselves and we keep on living in the past.  We need to learn to let go of the past.

Daniel 1:8-17  8 But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's rich food, or with the wine which he drank; therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself. 9 And God gave Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs; 10 and the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, "I fear lest my lord the king, who appointed your food and your drink, should see that you were in poorer condition than the youths who are of your own age. So you would endanger my head with the king." 11 Then Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hanani'ah, Mish'a-el, and Azari'ah; 12 "Test your servants for ten days; let us be given vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then let our appearance and the appearance of the youths who eat the king's rich food be observed by you, and according to what you see deal with your servants." 14 So he hearkened to them in this matter, and tested them for ten days. 15 At the end of ten days it was seen that they were better in appearance and fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate the king's rich food. 16 So the steward took away their rich food and the wine they were to drink, and gave them vegetables. 17 As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all letters and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

What's your determination in the settings and situation you are in?  What's your reason for getting out of bed in the morning?  Is our determination a selfish one?

Daniel 1:15-17 15 At the end of ten days it was seen that they were better in appearance and fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate the king's rich food. 16 So the steward took away their rich food and the wine they were to drink, and gave them vegetables. 17 As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all letters and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Because these guys were determined to please God in this situation, God blessed them, equipped them for better and greater things.

Determination is the opposite of giving up.  Staying in that situation that little bit longer until God pulls us through.  When we give up, we start to seperate from God and we turn to the sinful nature.

Galations 5:19-21  19 Now the works of the flesh are plain: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissension, party spirit, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

If we are not determined for God anymore we settle for 2nd best, but the Bible says those that live like this will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God.

When things get too difficult in life the natural wants to give up but the supernatural wants to push that much further, it wants to see it through!

1 Cor 9:25  25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

Why do we put things so much more higher than God?  The Bible says all treasure we store on earth will one day be destroyed.  It will never last.  We need to store treasure's in Heaven.

If we have determination for the Lord, seeing things through, He will give us our eternal reward in Heaven, that will last forever

       cutecolorsloveline1.gif

God has been speaking to me alot recently on being determined and never giving up.  But I know I can only do it with His strength and His help.  When you feel you can no longer carry on and you want to give up.....just remember all you have to do is cry out to your Father in Heaven.  Even if the only words you can muster at the time is, 'Help me God'.  He will hear you and He will pull you through.  Our God is an awesome God!  Through Him ALL things are possible.

Some of you have been asking about my friend, Sue.  I shared her testimony with you in a previous post.  I have asked her to send me an e-mail of an update of how she is doing.  I didn't want to get anything mixed up.  There is so much that has happened to her.  As soon as she sends it me I will post it for you all x
